Buongiorno Principessa!

'Life is Beautiful' is a 1997 Italian tragicomedy film directed by Roberto Benigni.

Guido Orefice, the main character, is a Jewish Italian bookshop owner who is taken to a concentration camp along with his 5-years-old son, Joshua and his wife, during World War II. In the camp, Guido hides their true situation from his son. He explains him that the camp is a complicated game in which Joshua must perform the tasks Guido gives him. Joshua is at times hesitant to go along with the game, but Guido convinces him each time to continue on.

This film shows us how strong and pure a father's love can be and what we are able to do for our loved ones. I loved this movie not only because of its story but also because of its characters. I would absolutely advise this film to my friends because I think everyone should know how hard lives were during WW2 for the Jewish and also because I think this is one of the most beautiful, sad and funny stories ever made.
